Hartshill Boarding Kennels & Cattery is situated in quiet rolling farmland in between Axminster and Chard. Claire & Jim Jackson, who moved from Yorkshire with their two children Caitlin and Aidan purchased Hartshill in August of 2008. Claire is a nursing sister who has always had her own cats and dogs whilst Jim is a home office accredited Police dog training instructor and attends as a judge in international dog sport.

Since Claire & Jim purchased this business they have gained an excellent reputation for the care of the animals, with customers travelling from far and wide to ensure their pets are suitably cared for.

Under new ownership the facilities have been enhanced with new fully heated kennels and cattery. Jim & Claire have maintained the reputation for excellent animal care and are recommended by most of the local veterinary practice’s.

Commitment

To ensure animals settle-in well, first time boarders are given extra care and attention whilst older guests are treated with respect and consideration to make certain their stay is also as comfortable as possible. During their stay your animals become our pets and in time, our friends.

As animal lovers themselves Jim & Claire welcome all breeds of Cats & Dogs, whatever their temperaments may be and ensure that your pet will be as happy as you are while you are away.

All kennels are disinfected daily and a "deep clean" with virucidal disinfectant is carried out when each guest leaves.

In the interest of all our pets that stay with us and as a statutory requirement of all boarding establishments, all of our guests must have up to date vaccination certificates. This includes Kennel Cough. All certificates must be shown prior to your pets staying with us.

The Kennels & Cattery are attended 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
